I highly recommend you to view the idea of “selling yourself” as “the way to convince others how important and valuable you are”.  Don’t treat this promotion as something really awful and stupid, please, face the truth, it is an integral part of business. The following tips will help you to sell yourself effectively!

3 Sticky Résumé Situations and ways to Cope with Them

If you are searching for a job there can’t be any mistakes. However, you should be ready to the fact that you résumé will have a lot in common with the résumé of most  applicants. I don’t mean you should write something really incredibly in it, simply avoid the following mistakes:

  • Your former employer changed its name

That is not a very pleasant situation and there is the one way to cope with it. Mention the current name of the company and put its former name in brackets. In case the company you’ve been working for doesn’t exist anymore – mention its name and be sure to leave contacts of the person who can tell your new employer about you.
