Commercial offer
The main rule is – talk briefly in essence. If you need your offer to be accepted by someone – find a best approach to him, according his values and desires.
For examples you are writing request to your boss about vacation.
Why do you need this vacation? Of course, you need a rest, you’ve tired of bloody hard work and which is more important you want to relax with girl/boy friend laying under Caribbean sun…sounds tempting, isn’t it?
But not for your boss, unfortunately. If you’ll explain him all mentioned above you’ll probably receive a refusal. Boss doesn’t care what you need, he care about money and efficient work.
Much better is to ground your appeal with something which is important to him. Just have a look how one manager found a words to get paid vacation, he said to chief:
“Mr.Jones, how do think, could zombie be an effective manager? Could zombie earn a money for the company?”
– “No”, responded Mr.Jones…
“Then let me return to a viable mode and give me a two-week vacation. I’ve finished all my current affairs and transferred clients to my colleague for 2 weeks. I will be in touch all the day and night and after vacations will start to work with double diligence. I will be able to double my sales only after the rest, Mr. Jones”.
How do you think, what will be a result of this conversation?
So my dear, I hope this will help many of you )
